FELONIES & MISDEMEANORS

Mr. Desmond has represented many individuals facing felony and misdemeanor charges.  Since September, 2000, as a practicing attorney in Florida, Mr. Desmond has always dedicated most of his practice to the criminal justice system, from both sides.  As a prosecutor, Mr. Desmond had the responsibility of putting together each case that came before him and worked very closely at times with law enforcement advising them on how best to conduct their investigations.  As a defense attorney, Mr. Desmond has been routinely exposed to the plight of individuals fighting for their liberty.  He has fought hard to protect their constitutional rights and assure that the State does it job correctly.

DUI

In recent years the penalties imposed for a D.U.I. in Florida have dramatically increased. If convicted, you could be facing incarceration, fines, probation, community service, loss of driving privileges, vehicle impoundment and a substantial increase in insurance rates among several other possible penalties. Additionally, if your driver’s license has already been suspended for failure to provide a breath sample or for “blowing” over the legal limit, you only have ten days from the date of your arrest to request a formal review hearing or you could lose the right to contest that suspension. For that reason alone it is imperative that you consult with a lawyer as soon as practical to protect your rights!

If you have been charged with Driving Under the Influence, please call our office today at (850)-727-7850 to schedule a meeting with Mr. Desmond.
