I am blessed to have had great parents. All through my life, I leaned on them to guide me and help me make decisions and chart my course. Several years ago, when my dad was around 82 years old, we noticed that he was getting very forgetful and needed help more and more to take care of everyday tasks. We learned pretty quickly that he was suffering from Dementia. Over the following years it only got worse and my mom began also suffering physically. I watched helpless as the disease took my dad. He passed away in December 2018 at the age of 85 and is now free of the ties that were holding him back. I know I will see him again. My mom is still suffering from the loss of my dad, her husband of 59 years. There were and are so many legal questions about how to handle things during such a challenging time. Through that process, a passion arose in me to learn everything I could to help people in the future that would go through the same types of challenges. It would be a blessing to help you or your family through similar challenges.
